Doctor James Lemon received his Bachelorâ€™s degree from McMurry College in Abilene, TX in 1971. He has also done graduate studies in Horticulture and Agronomy through Texas Tech University and Immunology & Genetics through Abilene Christian University before receiving his D.D.S in 1978 from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. From 1984 to 1985 he did his Maxillofacial Prosthetics Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston. Then from 1985 to 1987 he did an American Cancer Society Fellowship/Maxillofacial Prosthetics Combined program, also at The University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston. From 1979 to 1984 he served in the U.S. Army Dental Corp.
He specializes in Dental Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. He splits his time between Covenant Hospital, Texas Tech Medical Center & our offices where he maintains his practice. From 2008 to 2010 he was the Dental Operations Administrator at Covenant Health Systems. He now works in ER, Trauma & Inpatient through Covenant Health System. He is the Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery/ENT in the division of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at Texas Tech Medical Center.
