Restorative Dentistry

Without having a set of solid and healthy teeth, even a simple meal can become a tedious chore. Restorative Dentistry is there to help when surprises happen, such as decay, infection or a cracked tooth.  Restorative dentistry focuses on mending the health and function of your smile through various in-office procedures. These services give us the ability to restore your natural teeth back to where they were, giving you the best chance to keep them for as long as possible. At Yellow House Dental & Implant Center, we offer multiple services to restore and repair patients’ teeth.

Fillings

If caught quickly, dental decay can often be treated by removing the decayed area from the tooth and replacing it with a filling. Our office does not use amalgam, or metal, fillings. The material used in our office is meant to mimic the structure and appearance of a natural tooth. It is a common misconception that it’s okay to put off getting a filling done until the tooth starts to bother you, but the truth is that usually by the point that you’re feeling any kind of sensitivity or discomfort the damage to the tooth may result in more extensive and expensive treatment.

Root Canals

If dental decay is left untreated, it can lead to more extensive treatment down the road. Often, that means Endodontics or a Root Canal. Root canal therapy is a remarkable treatment, with a very high rate of success and involves removing the diseased tissue inside the tooth (the blood vessels and nerves), halting the spread of infection and restoring the healthy portion of the tooth.

Crowns

Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal or extensive damage from decay. This is usually done when the area of the tooth that was removed is too large to replace with a filling. Without a crown, the structure of the entire tooth could be compromised. With our CEREC machine, we now have the option to produce a majority of our crowns in office rather than sending them off to a lab. Our crowns are custom made and designed specifically for you and your dental anatomy.
